Adventure. I love that word and love being adventurous, but sometimes it is hard for me to actually adventure. I am all about taking risks and trying new things, but getting out of my comfort zone is a lot. I have learned that your comfort zone will kill you. One of the craziest things I have ever done, I did this past summer. I got the chance to climb a mountain in Colorado, something I thought I would never do in my lifetime. I had never even been to Colorado before, so that was an adventure itself, nor had I climbed a mountain. It was the absolute hardest thing I have ever done, but at the same time, the best thing ever. It was so worth it and I got to know myself better. It changed my life for the better. Looking back on it, I want to do it again and go back. It's crazy to think that I was not about to go at all. I got to spend an unforgettable week in God's beautiful creation of the mountains, studying His good word with people I love. It is a trip I will never forget with many lifelong friendships that will last a forever. It is forever my favorite memory. It was so worth it and I couldn't be happier. I am glad I got the chance and opportunity to go. Best thing ever, time of my life. Adventure awaits.

From the Beginning |
To Now |
I was terrified to go because it is something I normally do not go out and do. It was not comfortable for me, but it is good to be uncomfortable because everything is supposed to be uncomfortable, even a relationship with God. In fact, I signed up completely last minute. I knew it would be a once in a life time experience and that I would regret not going. I never even wrapped my head around what I was getting myself into.

Little did I know that it would be the best thing ever, so worth it and life changing. I could never imagine not going. It is a part of me now and something I will hold onto forever. It is the best memory I have. It has made me a better person and I got to know myself better. Sometimes you must step away from your comfort zone or what you are used to and take that risk and try something new because it may be life changing and you never know until you try.
